HALF BLIND is an 83,000 word contemporary YA novel about a young woman who rehabilitates a blinded dressage horse owned by her high school enemy.

 

Cleaning stalls at Ballinger’s Stables is not the life Zee (Zenaida) Uaine planned when she left high school three years ago. She wanted to be a veterinarian, but without scholarships she can’t afford school so she works as a stable-hand at a dressage barn.

 

When a horse is hurt in an accident that injured an Olympic hopeful, Zee is determined to save the horse. But old angers surface when she discovers the owner is Zee's nemesis.
